History GARCIA

A great love for jeanswear: that is the strength of the international family business GARCIA. The brand was founded in 1972 in Urbania, Italy. GARCIA has now grown into an international jeanswear brand with a complete men’s, women’s and children’s collection. With 3,300 points of sale in more than 27 countries and more than a thousand employees in Europe. We have 33 retail stores in Europe, 281 branded shop-in-shops worldwide and 323 consignment points of sale.

GARCIA signed the Dutch Covenant for Sustainable Garments and Textile in October 2019. Within the Covenant we join forces with various companies and organizations to tackle abuses within the clothing industry because we know that we can only initiate change together.

In March 2021, GARCIA signed the Green Deal Circular Denim. Together with other frontrunners, we are working on creating a circular denim industry. We want to take a pioneering role by setting the standard within the jeans industry with all signatories of “Post Consumer Recycling of Textiles” (PCR).

CSR – THEN, NOW AND FOREVER

We are a fashion brand in the business of dressing families. Just like any family, we aren’t perfect. And like all families, we try and do better every day– especially when it comes to sustainability. Where other brands might refer to corporate social responsibilities, we prefer to call ours Family Values.

Our “Family Values” reinforces GARCIA’s commitment to do better: to minimize our environmental footprint & create great clothing for families. We know we have a lot more to do, but our journey so far has brought us positive change and great steps forward. We will continue to do better every day. That is our commitment towards the environment and towards future generations.
